Called Good's Auto Service and spoke with Brian. I let him know what code is coming up on our Prius (P261B), but that it is intermittent (check engine light goes on for a day than off for a few weeks), knew that the code is a water pump code, and a water pump either works or doesn't so I thought it may be the sensor or just needs coolant flushed. Was told by Brian that just to check the code would be $125! This is AFTER I told him we already know the code. Thanked him for his time and hung up.
Ben, Thank you for leaving the review. Complete customer satisfaction is very important to Good’s Auto. This starts with the initial contact. I am sorry to say that the water pump on your Prius is electronically controlled. The water pump system is more complex than it either works or doesn’t.
